Home > Government Schools Assistance Program

In the 2 years that followed the earthquakes, Nagarhope ran a very successful government schools assistance program in 9 of the worst affected districts. A total of 85 schools benefitted from this program. Schools were given a choice as to what assistance they needed and a budget was assigned to each school based on their needs. Projects varied but were mainly concentrated on building temporary classrooms (TLCs), rebuilding toilets, drinking water projects, as well as providing furniture and school uniforms.
